Together there were 4 families going for this outing. My family and my cousins of course! Our mode of transport was cars and van. Knowing that my parents do not drive any car, my uncle decided that we rent a van so that my family can still follow to the outing. The day before the outing, my mom and granny had already occupied themselves with the food. It was known that they were in charge of the food whereas my uncle was assigned to be in charge for the games. There were variety of food until some of it we were unable to finish it.
The van was okay though even it is quite stuffy but when we open the windows, it helps a lot. The journey from s'pore to Mersing was about 1.5hours. I didn't get bored in the van cause there was a lot of food to eat. We also kinda race with the rest of my cousins ( da F1 version). During the journey, my cousin vomitted on the van cause the road was very meandering and bumpy. At one point of time, the seat in front almost came out. What a bumpy roller coaster ride that we experienced!!!
By the time we reached to the Fishing Bay Resort, it was around noon. We were quite restless and lethargic after the ride. After our room keys were being issued, we quickly get inside and jump around, excited cause we have reached our destination. Our suite was and open-concept one. The weird thing is it is equipped with air-conditioner at the same time a fan. You can imagine how cold it is at night. After settling down, my siblings and cousins jump into the pool as it is very humid. I did not join them as I am having my menses. Instead I watched them play water polo and became the judge. My cousin, Fairuz was sitting beside me. He too did not like to swim in the humid weather. We chatted and laugh when my siblings do stupid actions.
Not long later, my mom and granny came. They rolled up their pants and dipped their legs inside the lukewarm water. It was a nice feeling actually, leg therapy. Seeing them bathing can be quite boring and unproductive. I followed my mom to snap some photos so that the outing would be a memorable one. My granny went back to the room to get some rest while Fairuz joined my uncle for fishing.
The scenery from our chalet was very inviting. It is the picturesque of an open sea with a broken jetty. It was like one of those pictures that you can find on postcards or wallpaper however the difference is that I could experience it with my vary eyes. How wonderful isn't it?
In the late evening, the BBQ pit was ready and we could enjoyed our dinner in the open sea. There were an abundance of food. In fact there games later on with attractive prizes waiting for us. Everyone was sporting enough to join the games. Conversely, the men whom went fishing did not managed to get any fish.
The next day, we packed our things and left the premises before noon. I seriously enjoyed this outing. I want to go again...pls....:)
